how do i extract certain information from a database with open-office?
i am trying to get the names & email addresses from almost 2000 notifacation of a sold auction emails -i recieved (one every time one of my auctions ended successfully) from overstock.com i have saved these emails for over 2 years anticipating the time that would come and these happy customers would be my first members of a jewelry & bead co-op i am starting. i have downloaded openoffice but i am self taught on mac and pc & am completely lost from the get go. i am not even sure how to make the 2000 emals into a data base or if they are one allready . please keep in mind that being self taught means i do not know what complicated or even some simple tech terms mean. so you are going to have to pretend you are dealing with a 12 year old – this means slow and simple. this has held my project up for several days and anyone that can see me through to the end will be remenbered when the co-op gets rolling. i deal direct with the owner of a large trading co in China & my prices are unreal
